Heading Winners of Junk Kouture 2013 Announced!


Over 80 trend setting secondary school students from all over Ireland showcased their stylish outrageous fashion designs made from rubbish and recycled materials as they competed in the Grand Final for Junk Kouture Recycled Fashion Competition 2013 at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin in in association with the European Recycling Platform (ERP) and Bank of Ireland. With a prize fund of over €20,000, tension ran high as the students modelled their creations in front of the panel of Judges and a sold out capacity crowd.

Winners Green Awards 2013

Congratulations to St Mary's Convent Primary School, Trim who are the very proud winners of the Green School Award at the recent Green Awards 2013. The school was singled out among all Irish schools, preschools, colleges and universities for this honour, in recognition of their many green initiatives. In December 2012, St. Mary’s National School won the ERP Go Recycle and Win battery recycling competition. The school collected a massive half tonne of batteries (21, 150 batteries). That is the equivalent of almost 43.5 AA batteries recycled per child!
