Congratulations to St Mary's Convent Primary School, Trim who are the very proud winners of the Green School Award at the recent Green Awards 2013. The school was singled out among all Irish schools, preschools, colleges and universities for this honour, in recognition of their many green initiatives. In December 2012, St. Mary’s National School won the ERP Go Recycle and Win battery recycling competition. The school collected a massive half tonne of batteries (21, 150 batteries). That is the equivalent of almost 43.5 AA batteries recycled per child!
